The craziest thing about LeBron last year in the playoffs, is he had a block% of 3.2, a steal% of 3.4 And defensive BPM of 5.8. The only player to have all three categories above 3 in the playoffs (at least 400 minutes, Lebron played 822 min) is Ben Wallace, who is considered one of the greatest defensive players of all time. Horry and Tony Allen did it twice in smaller minutes, and Kawhi once, also in less than 400 minutes. All of those guys are considered all time great defenders.

No.

Cause one of the few advantages the east has over the west is perimeter defenders.

West has better overall teams and inside play. But the east had the better perimeter defenders.

Hence the reason Kobe always had better numbers in the West finals than NBA finals.

perimeter defenders kobe faced in the finals

00 - reggie miller, mark jackson, jalen rose :mjlol
01- allen iverson. aaron mckie, eric snow
02- jason kidd, kerry kittles, lucious harris?
04 - chauncey billups, tayshaun prince, rip hamilton
08 - rondo, pierce, allen. posey
10 - same as 08 add tony allen
