some fukked up shyt. there has to be another way...
Call Center isn't as easy as it sounds. I worked in that industry for 10 years.
All I know is the longer she stay working at jobs like McDonalds, the harder it would be for anyone to take her resume seriously (if she even has one to begin with)
$45/hr + $1k/month stipend. So ~$52-53 an hour, yes. Software salaries can be pretty insane. I'm not even the highest paid out of my intern friend group (top 20 CS school). Highest paid is ~$12.5k/month.
this woman clearly has far below average abilities you might as well be saying shyt, LeBron went to the NBA out of high school talking that SWE shyt in hereHonestly can't imagine that. I made ~7 times that wage at 20 as an intern.
This is why anybody with common sense should be supporting our brothers and sisters with the fight for $15.
But of course, bootlickers gonna come in here caping for this exploitative, self-destructive ass system on some "bu bu bu get out and get it! So much money out here! you settling/depending on the white man!"
This would do more harm than good. For starters, it would destroy small businesses. These same businesses that circulate dollars back within their communities
Coli Capitalists just wanna replace the white boot that's on our necks with a black one and call it a day.
She better start thinking about that warehouse life. I seen nikkas out here eating on 12 or 13 dollars a hour.

I need to see receipts
Unless you are genius working for booz allen hamilton or Google, you arent making 95k as a programming intern

Receipt: 20 year old making 104k!!! Ayo @0xLaTeX, get in here brah!
Sorry bro, but you're completely and totally wrong.
Off the top of my head companies that pay ~95k or more to interns, most of which I have friends at:
- Airbnb
- Dropbox
- Square
- Asana
- Snapchat (~144k)
- Yelp (friend even got an offer to work part time during school for $48/hr as a contractor)
- Lyft
- Uber
- Amazon
- A9 (special division of Amazon, ~144k)
- Quora
- Microsoft (even returning interns get a signing bonus, too)
I can keep going. There's a lot more.
Peep this thread if you don't believe me:
I agree with you. All I meant by my post is that I personally couldn't imagine raising a family on that wage, because I've never made that amount of money and I'm just a young single guy with no kids. I didn't mean to suggest she should be making more money.

Literally all you posted was a thread with no receipts.
Unfortunately for you I work for a financial firm that is basically a tech firm which allows us to do a lot of in house application and api development. We also have a fair amoimt of really good developers. Most of the elite ones are pulling 200k.
An average app dev is making 110k.
There is no intern in software development making 95k a year unless they are a phenomenal coder
Your story is bullshyt
The pic didn't show up for you? Zoom in on the screen for my offer letter with details.

Also, not believing me aside, when you say no interns are making 95k except at Google.
When you don't want to go on Glassdoor, don't want to read thousands of data points from these companies and dismissing it as fake news, you're just being an irrational hater bro.
And it makes me very sad, because I want more of our people to get this money. There are so few black interns I run into. I am telling you as a first hand witness, there are much more than 2 companies that pay interns that much.
What interns and new grads really get paid at top tech companies

But to your point, the intern pay you say you make is the exception, not the rule.
