We gonna ignore that the 67-win '86 Celtics went 11-1 en route to the Finals (similar in path to the '17 Cavs)?

Or what about the multiples years where there was only ONE Eastern conference team that gave them a good run in '85 and '84 (similar in path to the '15 Cavs v Bulls and '16 Cavs v Raptors)?

And why are we disregarding the West in the 80s (doesn't that conference make up half of that era?), when the Lakers ran through the WC most seasons without a legitimate threat to test them? This is the first season where you could argue that the Warriors are the only legitimate title threat in the West. Lakers had multiple seasons in the 80s where they were the only legit title threat in the West. How is the 80s this "Golden era" of basketball mainly due to the LA/Boston rivalry, yet somehow today's game is the exact opposite when the # of title threats is relatviely the same as it was in the 80s?

look at all the records that were broken and hall of famers during the 90's, where are the players like dennis rodman in this era?
