Not saying the prices for nyc,la,San Fran aren’t crazy but y’all gotta use context. Employment, average salaries across sectors. Hell even networking opportunities. shyt may seem silly but if you really about your hustle in the tech sector I won’t blame a man betting on himself moving to San Fran.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Breh, I was living in a 350 sq ft crack den ass studio on Sullivan Street and MacDougal for $2250 a month in 2012, and while there are cheaper areas, sure, I doubt it’s lower than $1900 anywhere in 2019. Where were you thinking?

I think you were duped.

Im on trulia and street easy right now and see a plethora of studios for under 2000.

My homegirl pays $1800 for a studio in Prospect Lefferts Gardens with luxury finishes, a gym, Parking lot, and common space area with free rentals for event planning.

She also lives around the corner from the 2/5 train.

You can get a studio for under $1900 in my area Midwood as I’m looking at the listings now online.

My homeboy just got a 2 bedroom brand new apartment for $1700 in Canarsie.

Shreveport to Monroe, Louisiana you can get a little small 3 bed 1 bath in a so so neighborhood for about 40-50K.

That will get you maybe a lot or two and 800-1,400 square foot house. Smaller home, but that same thing elsewhere is considerably more.

There are more people on Shreveport Louisiana living in poverty compared to both LA and NYC. But I will give your location credit since it has over 50% home owner occupancy.

One thing I do notice about people who boast about cost of living in certain places is that they always leave out their poverty stats for everyone to see.

They always talk about their experience. “I pay for $1,000 a month for a mortgage” or “me and my wife pay $900 for a mortgage”

But never talk about the high poverty rate that exist in their location which means a good chunk of people living in Shreveport can even afford a good house

Damn. They really got folks living like they in central lockup? And they paying for that privilege?

Even here in DC you can still find 1br apartments all over the city for $1200.

I’m on Trulia looking at apartments in LA and 173 listings pop up between $1000 to $1300.

So you can find these places in LA but these programs attract Cacs more than anything.

Idk why the coli listens to these videos when in reality black folks tend to live in a wider range of areas and aren’t as selective as Cacs.

$1200 a month for a pod?
That's $500 more a month than my mortgage. :mjlol: Ya'll can have Cali and NY any day. shyt don't make no sense how the COL is out there. The thing is they raise shyt dramatically and people still flock to live there. :mindblown:

The average person is literally working to pay rent. Why live in a place and you can't even afford to have fun after the bills are paid. :what:

As long as white people pay good money to live like dogs... I’m happy.
