@mc_brew , you still haven't enlightened us about why there's such an economic divide between blacks and whites. I mean, you're so quick to dismiss people's responses, it only makes sense that you have the answers. so please enlighten us....
first of all, i appreciate almost all my brothers and sisters.... if i've learned nothing else since obama became president, i've learned that white people stick together regardless of politics... best believe me that white conservatives will stick with white liberals before either of them sticks with us... so that said, i'm down with my black brothers and sisters first and foremost regardless of if we disagree on welfare or not... get your money man, however you can get it... take care of your seeds and no matter what i'll always be proud of your success no matter what route you took to get to it... we've got to learn unity and group economics above all this petty bickering....
now on to what started our whole dialog....
Fast forward to today and we see what free-wheeling liberalism got the black community. Government benefits/entitlements to replace the need for work ethic and values.
i'm sorry, we are going to have to agree to disagree at this point.. because your statement here comes off to me as wild rhetoric and hyperbole... it's the reason i didn't dap your post and instead quoted the paragraph you made before this one and said i agreed with it 100%.... i wasn't intending a debate, i just thought your first paragraph was more thoughtful than your last....
you want to know what is a much bigger killer of work ethic? watching someone who does far less than you get rewarded far more than you simply because of their skin color... i.e.: the subject of this thread..... white privilege and racism kills optimism and in turns makes whole communities
hopeless... the vast majority of humanity, white or black or otherwise, don't aspire to be on welfare... it's natural to want to contribute... but no one likes being used and disregarded... no matter how hard we work and what we contribute the dominant society still sees us as unacceptable because we are still
BLACK.... hence i'm far more concerned about overthrowing white supremacy than worrying about welfare....
