Do we have to do this every season?

Duncan is playing great, has a great coach that knows Timmy inside and out, and personally has put the pieces around Tim and Tony Parker to bring out the best in the team.

Kobe is coming back from what could've been a career ending injury and has a cast of young, castoff players that are mostly on one year contracts and a coach that really isn't in Pop's stratosphere.

Comparing them now is apples and oranges. Both are great players that really shouldn't be performing as well at their ages. Take the time to appreciate.

Won't ever happen. Funny enough, as much as we don't like our rivals we can appreciate them cuz we see Kobe time running out. But to this day people are bringing up bullshyt arguments from 2005. Its sad really, its so many people that'll never let their hatred go and just appreciate a HOFer.

So, it's okay for LGBTWO to bring up bullshyt arguments from 2001 and 2006?

And let's get another thing straight...

This thread shouldn't be about Tim Duncan's greatness (which we all obviously acknowledge) but more about Milwaukee's ineptitude. Duncan's numbers were impressive but they weren't awe-inspiring, but the fact that the Bucks starting line couldn't manage 21 points or 16 boards or 2 blocks is PATHETIC.

When Tobe's scoring offense gets :flabbynsick: (and he looks pretty close to that now), he's not going to be able to contribute much toward a team winning. He's been ass on defense for a while now.

Timmy is still performing at a high level and contributing to W's at age 37. He's not a dominant scorer anymore, but still a good scorer and plays within himself and doesn't hold the ball too long. He's still a top level post defender and shot blocker. And he's still a top tier big in the NBA.

I doubt Tobe will still be as a valuable an asset to a team at age 37 as Duncan is now. He'll just be a volume shooter who dominates touches with waning production who contributes nothing on the defensive end.

steve nash has two MVP's and shaq only has one :upsetfavre: so MVP's don't really matter anymore but rings do...and kobe got the most out of anybody playing right now so :yeshrug:
So now since Kobe has one MVP's don't matter? :dead:

Last time I checked MVP's showed more individual greatness than rings. Considering rings are a team accomplishment. But ok
