yeah i no longer participate in my friends/office secret santa things because i always felt that i was put way more thought into my gift than what i got in return or worse. nothing this bad, but fukk it.
at least my job now we just do the everyone brings a generic $20 gift, pick numbers, people can steal shyt.
i think that's how it should be done, even at family events with adults.
then you just buy people you're actually close to gifts and exchange them in private.
