Nah, because most of the time those same players were playing like shyt beforehand.

For example, I can't feel sorry for the GM who gave Joe Johnson a max contract knowing damn well he ain't a max out talent.

Star players have suffered at the hands of front offices since the beginning of time. This is nothing new. The Lakers, Pistons, Celtics, Spurs, Rockets and Bulls are literally responsible for every other superstar of that generation NOT winning a title up til now

That said, in Melo's case, he has no one to blame but himself.

real talk. The Jordan era ALONE prevented a ton of superstar and great players from getting a chip. Imagine being Reggie Miller in the Jordan era and then MJ is gone and you get run over by Shaq/Kobe during their run.

this LeBron/Miami era is already making life hard for Durant, even tho KD looks even more focused this year, but I can't see LeBron and them dudes just "letting" a motherfukka win over them on some Mavericks shyt

Melo signed with a franchise with a reputation for being less than effective...and stripped them of their assets in the process...and I'm supposed to feel bad that they continued to be unable to build a winning team? Sorry, not happening

In Melo's case, I can't feel sorry for him. At the same time, I can't throw any shade his way when he leaves either.

I think Melo had a decent chance to win it in Denver. They were stacked the year that they went to the western finals.

Whatever he decides to do, I want him to understand that we got a spot for his talents down in south beach.

Like Kobe said your top players have to take a paycut and not get their full worth if teams wanna sign all the players necessary. Why should the best guys and the main guy on the team not get their value? How many of you nikkas would take a paycut at your job so that the company could do better? I know I aint :usure:

Idk if its cause I live in the tri state area, but I feel like most nikkas don't know how truly inept the Knicks FO is. First off, you got Dolan upstairs playing Franchise Mode making all types of dumb moves. He had a great GM in Donnie Walsh that free'd him from the cap hell they were in for most of the 2000 decade just to force the Melo trade against his GM and Coach's (Antoni) wishs. Fast forward to this year the teams doing well again and he gets rid of Grunwald for what reason exactly? Its no surprise nobody wants to play in the so called "Mecca" theres absolutely no stability with this team when the owner can just come on down like price is right and make a franchise changing decision out of nowhere, usually for the worse.

Would you want Ernie Grunfeld back?
