MPJ and Wiggins two dudes from the same type of cloth to me. Elite basketball talents but a seeming unwillingness to find different ways to use their talents. The finals runs and wins those two were apart of, a big part of the reason was because they committed to rebounding and just playing a more well rounded game. But then every season after that they just go back to just making it through the regular season with some flashes but dont over extend themselves ever. I respect MPJ playing through that shoulder injury last year during the playoffs though. I just get annoyed with supremely talented players who just dont use their talents regularly. Jaren Jackson and Jalen Green also on that list for me
So not surprised this would be a situation MPJ would love because theres no pressure to win or be a winning player or need to fit into a system for the betterment of a team. There's no reason he shouldn't be a 3rd or 4th option on a good team but I dont think he does enough beside shoot and he wasnt consistent enough for the Nuggets. I dont think there was any reason Aaron Gordon became a better threat for the Nuggets than MPJ but one guy really wants to win and improve his game and the other seems like he'd like his seasons to end in April.
