There's always been teams tanking and always will be. The teams fighting in that 7-10 range are all typically scrapping in the last month of the season to get in anyway, so the play in is useless as an actual tool and is nothing more than a creative concept to get money back that was lost during covid...

Because you play 82 games to show who was better. You get a full season to prove if you're a Top 8 seed. If you miss the cut, it just wasn't your year...

its more like 12 teams scrapping for those spots these days, on both sides.

I actually like the play in, it gives teams a chance like the spurs were dead in the water but now all they have to do is two win games. Even for matchup purposes a team that is 6th ain't going to risk dropping to 7th

Didnt even give the idea one season to run through before crying. I thought this place was suppose to have alot of male energy in here. Alot of estrogen typing in those posts up there.
