sure hes more hip-hop than drake but that aint saying a helluva lot. they attract similar crowds, whether you want to admit it or not.

most of kanye's fanbase are not really hip-hop people. its been that way from jump.

thats why i laugh when people on here try to prop kanye up as some sort of all-timer.
Kanye gets nothing but respect from HipHop fans. Especially after his first two albums. Kanye is a respected artist/musician, I never hear people really laud Drakes music, outside of his stams. His music is always HOT, but it's never great. No classics, just good, easily digestible music, that's hot because of who he is. Nothing timeless though.

hes respected but hes not respected LIKE THAT.

he put out good stuff, in his heyday. but most of the people praising him as being "great" tho?:usure:

niccas never f*cked wit dude LIKE THAT. he gets about as much burn as drake, if you want to be real. drake's era is weaker tho.

Back in MIA
:heh:I don't think running thru the 6 with my woes is about simping

Drake is soft. Much in the same way that Jay-Z looks kind of like Joe Camel.

The internet just magnifies this shyt...but they don't make it up out of thin air.

There's something disingenuous about this nikka. His music is getting harder because the soft thing is finally getting to him. Him saying "running through the 6 with my woes" paints a completely different picture than say, someone like Maino saying it. White boys and nikkas raised in the suburbs can relate to the picture Drake is painting. Maino not so much. Unless ski masks and 45's your idea of a good weekend out. With Drake it's probably hollering at girls at the mall and hitting a Wendy's drive through before you go home empty handed.

That's why Drake is a simp. It's nothing personal. Do not cry for Drake.

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol: Why does this dude make you bitter ass nikkas so mad? If you don't like the music then don't listen. I think Kanye's new shyt is corny as fukk, but I don't get mad cause people like it. Y'all be getting so riled up over these rap nikkas on a personal level. :pachaha:Success got y'all fuming on some bitter woman type shyt.

relatibility. He doesneed new subject matter, but so does 99.9% of the game.

I at least prefer this subject matter because it's everyday real life ish. I feel like Drake's appeal is he makes soundtrack music. Meant to be a soundtrack to life, all his music puts me in different places and zones attatched to real things that have happened to me in the past or good times.

I remember riding with the homies out in houston everytime "November 17th" comes on. Take care for those hard times with females. etc. Also, he's the only cat who raps in 2nd person lol.

But forreal, he's not bad, just need him to hop on some new wave of production like goldlink.

I can feel your overwhelming emotions oozing from this post.

You are so emotional, in touch with your feminine side.

Just hold on, we're going home. :cape:

people have been brainwashed to like him. let's be real here. the masses were introduced to him by the hype machine. not the OTHER way around. it's not like dude had a buzz before so far gone or best i ever had. his buzz was manufactured and of course, if you see and hear someone everywhere you go, you're eventually going to think positive things about it like "this has to be a good since it's everywhere". his buzz did not come from a genuine interest from the masses. it's not like 50 cent or any underground rap artist that had a buzz from the people where the radio and hype machine was FORCED to acknowledge it.

so drake's likeability is more on mass marketing than actual likeability. that's why when he says "nothing was done for me" or "i started from the bottom, now i'm here", it's an insult to the public. i can't support someone like that.

Right, because I have memories attached to the actual music.

No ones stanning here. He's got some joints I personally cherish. He also has a bunch of lukewarm ish. Dreams money can buy, club paradise, light up. That stuntin remix with weezy. All memories of crazy faded nights with women and the homies.

This is facts too. :salute: Honestly the best hting going for him is he's versatile enough that he can never be put in a box. He has access to anything he wants to do. For isntance, I could never see Meek Mill hopping on a love track or ballad. In fact that'd prolly hurt his brand. Theres only 3 people in the manstream game that can do those type of things and remain credible, sean don, drake, and cole.

I really can't even see Kdot not being limited by the choices of music he has made and audience built.
