Everyone was saying this before the draft and got labeled haters once it looked like the Lakers were going to take him you couldn't offer up any type of criticism even if you liked his game.

Going to his right, he basically can't shoot off the dribble -

Breh's shot is like Bill Cartwright's :picard:

He should just focus on getting rebounds and playing D. He'll be a shorter, more athletic Bill Cartwright

can someone effectively change their shot this late in the game? (not really late late) but
i know itll probably be hard than a mafukka to change up how you been doing some shyt for so long.
i remember Anthony Mason with them ridiculous freethrow shots
changed up his form the way he changed up the designs cut into his hair!
:russ:

this shyt reminds me of Tebow

he had that trash throwing motion in college, everybody said it wouldn't work in the NFL

nobody listened and now look (and I like tebow :hubie:)

here's what I see:

Lonzo brings the ball up the court, makes the pass.....then is like :whoa:. "I dont want it anymore"

I think he's not confident in his shot enough, AND as a result, he doesn't want to be embarrased b/c the spotlight on him x100 b/c of Lavar. But he's gonna have to suck it up and deal with whatever happens if he wants to get better.
The pressure you're talking about doesn't exist. I don't see how Lavar talking makes him go "I gotta play good for daddy :sadbron:"
He's just trying to play good in the NBA, and he don't look comfortable. As all can see, he plays like he don't wanna shoot.
Like a fringe backup PG at this level. If there was no hype, we'd be like GET THIS fukkIN BUM OUTTA HERE :camby:
He better be glad his daddy created this mythical pass. Cuz on the court I highly doubt Zo is thinking what his dad says. When has his dad NOT said things, its new to US so thats why its an issue. I would like to believe a professional player would carry it like if he was anyone else. Skip Bayless talks about Lebron, you think Lebron might have a bad game because of something Skip said? I'd hope the same logic would apply with Var & Zo :manny:

I'm sure he'll eventually grow into a good player (he does have good court vision), but he plays pathetically passive, has a broken jumper, and seems scared to shoot in general. The Lakers are begging for this guy to be a star, but they may have possibly drafted a light skinned Raymond Felton with the #2 pick.

EDIT: Also, dude is totally devoid of any kind of swag. He's like a sheet of paper left out in the rain.

I think whats most surprising to me is how his passing isnt really standing out like that

he has good bball iq but his passing skills been kinda exaggerated. he needs to have the concept of an actual offense running through him instilled in his head.
been saying since April, his passes and assist are basic. It doesn't cut defense. He wait foe his teammate to get open after numerous screens for them on the perimeter. He's not breaking down the defense or initialing anything himself.

I won't lie

I been tuning into LA games cause of the Lonzo hype but I wind up enjoying the whole team

Folks was hating on Ingram and he finally found his stride, Lopez is a beast and this nikka Kuzma is gonna be a problem as he gets more experience

I still think Lonzo will start balling out once he gets more comfortable. I think he's gonna develop more of a killer instinct as time goes on

Maybe since he has so much attention on him, he decides to play it safe so the attention won't become negative

Norfeast groovin…
I’m trying to reserve judgement at least until ASB but this is not a good look so far. If Russell keeps improving this will be one of the biggest fukkups in a long time and we didn’t even need cokehead or mitch to do it.

That’d convince me for sure that the Buss fam gotta sell.
