why is this dude so damn good at connect 4
he can see 3, 4, 5 moves ahead. and probably knows how you'll attack him based on where you drop 2 or 3 checkers.
there are only so many win probabilities once you've committed a certain number of moves in a game with finite outcomes. most people could see that if you removed the competition component and gave them time to process. he can do it in real-time, the lucky son of a bytch.
it's also why he's good at poker and other probability-based games. one of my boys can do that shyt. he dont even work. makes a living at the casino (and takes home 6-8Gs a month, easy).
That teacher is a piece of shyt for giving Rondo a D even though Rondo was acing his tests. He was even acing the different tests he gave Rondo, because he thought Rondo was cheating.
That's the main take away for me from this story, because some teachers focus a lot of attention on black students just to fukk with em. shyt got me heated.
it wasnt because he was black. or at least the story doesnt allude to that. u never been in a class with a dude who gets As in every course and a D in behavior? first time he raises his hand, the teacher picks him. second time, teacher picks him. third time, teacher wants someone else to answer and ignores him. so he starts acting out. the teacher knows WHY he's acting out, but unless they're equipped to deal with someone that advanced, the only way they can try to get them to conform socially is to penalize them for not moving in the accepted manner. don't shout answers, don't talk when im teaching, don't think u can sleep when important stuff is happening and ace the test. whether u CAN doesn't matter.
think about it.. can u imagine all the kids who weren't that smart trying to follow rondo's example?
i'm not saying it's ok. but saying the teacher was fukking with him cause he was black, without evidence... enh. there are a lot of other potential factors, including incompetence, but also incapability.
it takes a special type of teacher to deal with someone THAT gifted (same way it takes a special coach). we dont even know if he had access to those types of resources.
then again. shyt. dude could literally have had his own classroom he's so smart.
