Belichick wouldnt give him superstar offensive talent to work with..so ita a.moot point..Manning 4 SB's with 4 different coaches
Imagine him playing with BelliGOAT for 18 years![]()
There's two sides to the coin. Let's be honest, there's VERY few QBs who could have pulled the Patriots back from that deficit. I'm talking like only Brady, Montana...I'm not even sure if Peyton would habe the balls to drop 25 straight in a Superbowl
What about Aaron Rodgers?
I'm dumb.
Explain it to me what he means?
I hope not.For some reason, teams don't like to run the ball against New England in pivotal situations. Even though the RB at the time is feasting.
It is for this reason alone that if New England gets back to the Super Bowl, I hope the Dallas Cowboys are waiting for them.

That's fine in the playoffs. I can name 8 different playoff losses where the kicker and/or the defense lost the game at the end and then there's the super bowl losses to New Orleans and Seattle where the defense combined for one sack and no turnovers forced. You need defense in the playoffs.Belichick wouldnt give him superstar offensive talent to work with..so ita a.moot point..
The Seattle call was the right call, bad execution. They caught the Patriots with the wrong personnel and threw the ball. I blame the WR for slowing up on his route. Nobody EVER intercepts a ball over the top so you know he had to be moving slow to his spot.
I think people get too hung up on the whole conspiracy angle. You know Pete Carroll gives zero fukks about all that noise.
My point is Peyton never succeeded without great offensive talent..he always had it...they spent mad money on getting offensive talent and keeping it...its a huge difference between throwing to HOFers vs solid WRs...Peyton put up 8 pts in the Superbowl and even that was in garbage time..come on now...The defense allowed 24 pts vs NO that should be enough to win. You said they didnt force turnovers, like they werent facing Drew Breees at his peak...Now if youre talking about the Indy defense making Lamar Smith look like Earl Campbell in 2000, then Im with you..But those typical Peyton excuses wont cut ot here..He goosed egg vs NYJ and had his kicker call him out..How is that on the defense?? Him throwing 4 picks at NE while the defense only allowed 24 pts..Allowing 24 pts on the road when your offense has 5 turnovers is extremely commendable..holding NE to 20 pts when your offense has an all time offense..Is it their fault that he only produced 3 pts in a season in which he threw 49 tds?? How about the Pittsburgh loss...the defense only allowed 21 pts and caused an amazing goalline fumble and Peyton couldnt drive for the win..You ignore that he threw a terrible INT which shouldve lost the game, but somehow after a 20 minute review, it was overturned..One of the worst and most overlooked calls in sports history..That's fine in the playoffs. You ever notice how every single player Peyton Manning played with is a superstar? There's one common denominator with all of those dudesMy point is Peyton never succeeded without great offensive talent..he always had it...they spent mad money on getting offensive talent and keeping it...its a huge difference between throwing to HOFers vs solid WRs...Peyton put up 8 pts in the Superbowl and even that was in garbage time..come on now...The defense allowed 24 pts vs NO that should be enough to win. Breakdown of some of those games coming. Long post and I will cliff notes it at the end. A quality defense and running game makes a huge difference. The saints only scored 24 on offense, but the game was played at a fairly slow pace if I recall right. I don't think brees even threw 30 passes. Hard to win when you force no turnovers and the opposing quarterback completes 75% of his passes. Against Seattle, how Peyton played was irrelevant for several reasons. The defense entirely no showed and let the Seattle offense score 27 on its own. There was the bad snap on the first play that resulted in a safety, which was indicative of how bad the line would play all game, both in run blocking and in pass protection. Then there is also the kick return in the second half. Seattle scored 36 points off their offense, special teams, and a bad snap by Denver. They didn't give up 25 in a single game that year. Peyton would've had to lead Denver to at least 37 in order to win. With the way nobody showed up on offense and the way the Seahawks played that night, I don't think anyone was gonna beat them. The loss to the jets was bad. It was 17-0 jets before he even threw a pass. I can't recall much else about that game. The loss to Miami yeah the defense was ass cheeks and the kicker missed the game winner too. Against the steelers in 2005, again he missed with the season on the line and it cost the kicker his job. 2007 against the chargers, with LT, Rivers, and gates out, the colts defense folded with the season on the line, allowing more points than they had all year by letting Billy Volek lead the game winning drive. Then his receivers dropped their passes on third and fourth down. A year later his defense folded and let the chargers tie the game to force overtime and then gave up a touchdown to start overtime. Peyton left the field with a lead and never got a chance to get it back. Then I'm 2010 against he jets he lead them down to kick the go ahead field goal for a 15-14 lead with 50 seconds left and the defense blew it again, allowing Sanchez to put the jets in position to kick the game winner at the buzzer. 2012 his defense gave up I think 31 points, including that Hail Mary where the safety entirely blew it on his coverage with 40 seconds left to cost the broncos the win against the ravens. Ironically his defense and running game pulled through for him a year ago when his arm was completely shot and he couldn't hold his end up anymore.
