This push they are giving Tinashe in 2018 is something to behold :laff:

those videos have lots of views and "likes", so obviously something is being done right.

In the end, she's super marketable from an appearance standpoint, and has a good enough voice to make it in music today.

She's racially ambiguous enough to be appealing to all.

She'll probably blow this time around.

Her recent singles are awful and its doing her a disservice. She has dope music in her catalog but her team isn't doing her any favors, she could be much bigger.

All of her mainstream singles are trash. Nightride, Black Water and Reverie are still some of my favorite R&B projects this decade though and proof that she does have legit talent. But the labels keep trying to make her into the next Rihanna/Beyonce when she just doesn't have that star quality about her. She'd be better off sticking to her lowkey atmospheric R&B and catering to her small but dedicated fanbase. It sucks, cuz I stay trying to put people on to Tinashe and convince them that she actually does have dope music but when she drops corny shyt like the songs the OP posted it doesn't do her any favors and makes it easier for people to dismiss her as a generic pop artist

likes and views come by popularity by default.

not a legit buzz

She's gotta be making them money because there's no way a label would keep it going for her like they've been doing. I thought she would have gotten dropped 2 years ago. Either that or she's giving the right execs the firest of p*ssy.

What makes her marketable and you seem like you don't have reference point for youtube views.

You act like she hasnt been on the scene. You only get one time to be that new hot artist.

:dwillhuh: Brehs we really need to have a discussion on how many views does a music video on YouTube need to have to be a success/hit. I've mentioned multiple time that a music video has to have a 100 million YouTube views for the music video to be VEVO-certified:

Seeing as Tinashe has always been pushed to be the next big R&B/Pop act, everyone of her music videos on her Vevo YouTube channel has been a flop or disappointment other than "2 On".

@CrimsonTider What you think?
