I'll keep saying it. Having the button pushed for you doesn't matter if you don't have fans or good music. Tinashe is on RCA, which is killing it right now in terms of r&b. They have Khalid and SZA doing big things. Tunji Balogun, who runs the A&R shop there, is running shyt right now. But if you notice, neither Khalid or SZA came up doing super contemporary or trendy music. Neither artist relies on huge features in order to get on the radio. Sure SZA had the Travis Scott feature, but she got 3 other singles that went plat without features. Same with Khalid.
Tinashe is operating in another world. If I had to guess I'd say she simply doesn't want to put the work in, and has convinced the label that she's just a hit away from stardom. That's not gonna happen brehs. You need a fanbase first. By the time she figures it out, it'll be too late. The money will be dried up.
