This is a lie. If you are a handsome breh you will eat no matter what.
I think he means how a lot of the clubs be sectioned off. Last time I went to a club, like maybe a few years ago, it makes it hard to really interact with chicks that you didn’t come with… other than bottle service chicks. Same with hookah lounges. A lot aren’t set up for you to be social with a whole new person.

Thats why the club scene switched over to bottle service. Nikkas be spending on one bottle what a case of liquor costs. They love to see them nikkas coming.

Right, these nikkaz is straight suckers, and they old as fukk

Too old to be hanging out name, be home with your family you old ass nikkaz lmao

young nikkaz is not spending hanging out at night like that, young nikkaz is not tricking, p*ssy is in abundance

second child hood nikkaz messed out on the easy access of p*ssy and low cost of fun being a youth, and trying to relive that in these wack ass clubs

these places is really lounges not even clubs

One of the main things that killed the clubs that no one is mentioning is when spots started having dress codes. More upscale places always did this but all of a sudden regular clubs did too. That was the beginning of the end
Eh I kinda disagree on the dress code. shyt was wack tho at times but that didn’t determine how the club night was.

18-21 years is the club of age they not spending 800, how old is you, you hanging out in strip clubs tricking money off, this is stuff old nikkaz do

I use to run a club, getting money from losers like you who spending a 1k in somebody elses establishment making them rich

I don’t give a fukk what you used to run. You broke as fukk and talking out your ass. Your bum ass ain’t outside and don’t know what the fukk going on out here. You just want some attention from a real nikka. Your broke ass keep ignoring the fact I told you I had 3 videographers with me. You jealous nikka? I rarely go to the damn strip club. I was out promoting. I’m telling your broke out of touch ass how it is, and that what it is.

I worked in radio promotions 2007-2011, right as the transition hit full swing. Cellphones killed it. As trash as this era's music is, you still can kinda geoove/grind to it. People just vibe and take photos, videos and snaps to it.

shyt's corny.

Great post. I'm glad that they didn't just lazily pin the decline of the club on Gen-Z.

Also, I know the contents of the original post are primarily focused on "the club," but I can't help but to reflect back on the college house party scene in the late oughts/early 2010's. Trap was at its peak arguably and women got live as fukk in those raggedy ass Tallahassee apartments. And correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Travis Porter--the MVP's of that brief 2010-2012 min-era--still technically count as trap? :patrice:Then again, trap can be broken down into sub-genres, so I see the overall argument (although it can be further analyzed/complicated).

I think what clouds the argument on Trap music is that the definition of the trap sound in hip hop has changed drastically over time.

Technically, "Rubber Band Man" by T.I., and "Bad and Boujee" are both trap songs, and other than maybe some base level drum techniques, they don't really sound all that much alike.

I think if you wanted to point out a specific song or year where the change started, it'd probably be around 2014 when "Turn Down for What" came out. That's when Trap as an EDM genre took off for more of the mainstream with variations of the old hip hop trap drum techniques. Ever since then, shyt's been trending toward the downtempo, less danceable music that's out now. shyt, a good example is that with songs that sample, it feels like more than ever, the flip is more based around lowering BPMs an shift pitches lower than it is a full chop/flip.

But honestly, even if higher BPM hip hop came back in style tomorrow, it wouldn't change the fact that folks in the club largely aren't there to dance anyway.

Man, woman, and child
I know somebody who owns multiple clubs, he came in rescued this other club from my homeboy who was failing at it, because was doing nikka shyt

Future manager Propane got chased by Trick Trick Goon Squad, promoters was getting pistol whip, all types of fukkery before he took over

He stopped playing rap music and the shyt started booming, he had 3 other clubs they was all white clubs, cheap to get in, nikka making millions, he said he refused to play rap music because it fukked black people up, that's what he told him out his own mouth
Thing is here we have our own club music. I haven’t clubbed in years so I don’t know if it’s still the same way but most of the nite most clubs always dedicated to Baltimore club music. Maybe 1 1/2 hours dedicated to hip hop and R&B. Some clubs had different rooms for different music

But I’ll say that you think back to mid 2000s fashion and clubs started banning it. All of a sudden you couldn’t get in with jerseys, white/black tees, baggy pants and shirts. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that people started wearing more fitted clothes. But the fitted clothes that because popular like Ed Hardy and True Religion generally were more expensive than the baggy stuff like Rocawear. Dudes would be in the club with white and black tees from the gas station. Of course wearing more expensive clothes your less likely to wild out and more likely to play the bar. Then you add the fact that indoor smoking laws came into effect and nite life was never the same
