Cam got it worse than any black QB in recent history....people were talking about how his fukking smile was an indicator of how he's a bad QB.

Maybe it's just media trying to kill time till the draft :ld:

Apparently Ebron scored a low Wonderlic and didn't interview well. These factors might be depressing his draft projections, just like they're doing Teddy's.
His personality is very outgoing, more like a WR than a TE, but teams are mistaken if they think he's gonna be a distraction and locker room problem. Teams will regret passing him up.

All that "is he going to be a locker room problem" shyt is speculative and laden with bias. So long as a prospect isn't sniffing coke like Lyerla and his issues won't affect training, motivation or development, there should be few issues drafting him. These culture warriors in the coaching staff need to stop supplanting legitimate gripes with illegitimate ones. If a player likes to smile, that's his prerogative.

A former GM has even came out and said he's stock has been dropping even before his proday.

That's puzzling. Any ideas as to why? :ohhh:

PFW's Nolan Nawrocki wrote this about quarterback Cam Newton: "Very disingenuous — has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first makeup. Always knows where the cameras are and plays to them. Has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law — does not command respect from teammates and will always struggle to win a locker room . . . Lacks accountability, focus and trustworthiness — is not punctual, seeks shortcuts and sets a bad example. Immature and has had issues with authority. Not dependable.”

Mike Freeman on CBS Sports said that, "people talked about Mark Sanchez being the face of the franchise...but he just didn't have much skill. That [notion] boosted him in the process".

Nebulous fluff like deciding whether a player can be a "face of a the franchise" is partly why QB busts happen. Sanchez is likable and kind, and a great teammate - but he sucks.

Yet, he sill went #1 overall. If the pro scouts really think you have the tools to be a franchise QB, they will take you. All of that other shyt is just noise.

Nah, Cam really brought out that old fashioned racism out of white people... like Django type shyt.

Yeah and he still does, Cam has such good combination of physical talent and skill that he may even up being a all-time great one day and they are scared of that. That's that Black excellence for you, he makes it look easy while doing it with a smile on his face. Bridgewater is facing scrutiny also which is crazy because he is the most pro ready QB in the draft, and the film on him is good. Any other QB with the opposite skin tone would be a definite top 5 pick.

Teddy's stats look good, but this is who he played against, while some of those other guys played against SEC defenses every week.

They keep referencing his pro day, but he didn't have his gloves then. His hands aren't that big and he gets sweaty palms, so the ball won't come out that well in that case. So he needs his gloves, and Gruden is impressed with him and he understands that he'll make sure he keeps those gloves on in the future.

Also, Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round. So he'll get his chance, I just hope he goes somewhere with a decent o-line.
