That song was getting way more play than Kick Push :wtf:

i heard kick push way more than vans, but i was still in chicago around that time so that may be why :yeshrug:

Kick Push was a dope song but if we are being real, skating didn't catch on like that among urban youth as a result of that song. I'd say skating really started being trendy around 2010.
If you want to be really real you can thank lil wayne for influencing dudes, who otherwise would've never picked up a board to start skating.
But Skating was slowly becoming more popular among black and 'urban youth' anyway.

Vans had vans popping and shyt but i know nikkas who legit went out and bought a skateboard after kick push. I remember my white friends being pissed at kick push, ":bryan:all he does is an ollie in the video" . :dead:

That pack album was getting played at every high school party though. :wow:
thats how i was at first but then i said whatever helps bring revenue to skateboarding and keeps the guys paid then fukk it. I can point out the posers and smh at em snd keep it moving. Skateboarding damn near died in the 80s i dont see that happening at all now jist keeps gettinf bigger and bigger.
