Dame is as toxic as 50 cent but 50 didn't blow all his money and kept it working for him. He got those early movie deals at a crucial time when his rap career cooled off. I remember watching Backstage at the theater. One scene I’ll never forget was Dame humiliating Kevin Liles. Kevin didn’t do anything but take the abuse and look down at his shoes.

Now I didn’t know anything about business or their relationship, I just remember feeling sorry for Kevin and thinking that I would never let someone talk to me like that.


I mean it was bad enough in real time, I can’t imagine how humiliating it was for Liles and Def Jam when Dame released the movie. They probably vowed to take him down after that.
