Above the fray.
Wasn't Denzel the same dude that said black people are responsible for their bad upbringing regardless of systematic oppression? It wasn't too long ago dude said something like that.
He talked about personal responsibilty. Most fathers have told their sons the exact same things that DW said publicly. I got the impression that for some of those who were offended, that it was their first time hearing about accountability.

Everyone should have accountability. Of course fathers should put their children to be their very best. But what I got from Denzel is that he doesn't have any regards on what the government has done to destroy black families economically.

I was just having a convo with one of my side pieces .. I said "can you think of one black actor who didn't take on a demeaning or degrading role to make it big in hollywood." We struggled trying to think of at least 3. Denzel is the only one.

If you think of every successful black hollywood star... they had to do some degrading shyt on camera first before making it.

Look at John Boyega... having to play a space slave. Is success worth it at that cost?

shyt is sad.

cued to his exact words in answering a question

the idea that a Black man born and raised in this country, of Denzel's age "doesn't have any regards on what the govt. has done to destroy Black families economically" is a super reach. That it's said about a man whose life, choices, and stances are open for the world to see like DW, is an even greater reach.

Just say you disagree with him but don't try to say that his comments come out of ignorance of history.

The Rock thing is funny to me because he was already successful in the wrestling business so he didnt need to degrade himself to make it in Hollywood but he agreed to do it anyway. Talk about coming across looking like a chump :laugh:

@Nicole0416

EXACTLY what we were talkin about with these jew cacs. They make sure to control the narrative to ensure their fukkery isn't constantly projected in the media since they control it.

In The Rock's defence... being so tall and muscular and doing Comedy movies... he was always going to end up in a dress.It's lazy cheap comedy but it was going to happen

Depending on what you mean by โ€œbigโ€ and what you perceive as โ€œdegradingโ€ there are some more. Idris Elba, Larenz Tate, Morris Chestnut, I donโ€™t really remember any of these cats taking on degrading roles. Not sure what Will Smith did that was degrading on cam, even though his personal life is fukkery personified lol. Obviously theyโ€™re not Denzel level stars but that list is only a couple of actors anyway.
