It's frustrating. Talked to my brother yesterday and he was talking about going to get a hair cut today so he could be "fresh" for the next couple of weeks if everything shuts down. I attempted to stress to him why C-19 isn't the end of the world but why he should do his due diligence and reconsider going to sit in a barbershop with two dozen heads and have his head/face touched, primarily when considering he has a 2 year old, an 11 year old with type 1 diabetes, and a pregnant wife that's due in 3 months. If everything is shut down, who's going to see your head?
My wife has a friend that claims she was feeling ill, and if she'd have been feeling a bit better, she was heading to a house party Saturday night.
A 72 year old a couple of houses down tells me Friday at the mailbox that a neice she hasn't seen in awhile was coming through to visit along with her husband and three kids. They were going to Panama City, Fl for vacation after leaving her home. Tried to inform her she should consider seeing them at a later date, and that her neice and husband should consider mixing some drinks, putting some ribs on a grill, grabbing a wifi speaker, and going swimming in the pool they have in their backyard back at home. Afterwards, the lady remarks that maybe they shouldn't have come through after all.
I resounded myself to the fact most human beings are simply
reactive instead of
proactive. And a
little stupid. It's going to be bad (chiefly the economy) but life will go on.
When something that'll actually be catastrophic hits like a mutated ebola, this country won't make it. There's NO chance.
