I was taken aback at first. She has a sense of humor. Shes smart. She has her bachelors. She plays (actively) softball. Drinks socially, doesnt smoke anything at all. Loves her family and they love her back. Nice whip, nice crib..She has that thing like she laughs and loves like shes never been hurt. Its quite strange cause most people are so guarded...That and we are in the same field (career and life wise).
There was a thread about finding the right girl or knowing you have the right girl. Shes admirable. I admire her dreams and her aspirations, mindset etc. And she has told me that she she admires mine too. (Her mom just got her LMHP [licensed mental health practitioner] and thats what im doing too).
We spend time together and have a good time, played tennis, went to dave and busters, kicked it at her crib, my crib, movies, a lil drink. She straight up told me she was payin one night. I was like :denzel: ok......ok......
We were at dinner one night and I asked her if shes ever been engaged.....she said yes and I asked her if she wanted to talk about it. She said no. This was the first time we have had an 'awkward' silence before.
We both use therapy techniques on each other since its our fields....so she knows she cant hide anything from me. I pressed on with my eyes and silence, she says "Thanks for bringing up a sore spot" I should have apologized but I said "Your welcome" We ate, concluded dinner and went our separate ways.
That was like 2 weeks ago, 3 weeks prior she said that she had recently (3 weeks prior) separated from the person she was engaged to. She needed something more and he lives in Atlanta or something.......
This weekend she had a 'friend' come from out of town. Busy all weekend brehsIts ok, I had dinner with a breezy last night (friday)..I mean if it dont work out, it aint meant to be, but it was (still is) a dope experience finding a dope ass girl. Its never happened since water has been wet, but we might actually be friends if this ever does end. I honestly expect things to be cool and go back to 'new normal'. But we will see.
I'm havent talked to her since early friday cause I knew her 'friend from outta town' was comin...and Ima let her do her, then monday we will see whats up. I expect him to hit....
But for this weekend, im sharing this girl.Happy Memorial weekend fam.
