My Pops Forever RIP
June 1, 1999 release date for napster

from buying 20 dollar cd to downloading music for free

i remember installing it on my parents desktop lol
That was fun. Downloading songs on my 9GB Gateway desktop on dial-up

10 songs at a time, some would be done in 10 minutes, others would take hours

when a song got to 90% and then someone picks up the phone and boots you off the internet and you get a transfer error :damn:

Watching this now the New York Times dude summed it up, "This is a country who's music is basically forged in white people impersonating black people":wow:

The nu metal era was that, took the soul out of rap and tried tried to make it corny white boy accessible. I wasn't even 2 years old yet by the time Woodstock 99 went on but that whole era was interesting to me looking back.

Just the thought that some of the same people going on Facebook rants today talking about how this generation has no decency were probably grabbing tittles, raping women and starting riots at this thing is crazy.

:smugfavre:

Mad people that got lucky that their past is not being looked at in today's cancel culture era, because there weren't as many cameras and social media in 99.

Saw the documentary.

There is a lot of blame being thrown around, but to me this is just white people acting white. :manny:

When Columbine happened, people were like how could this happen?, hope it never happens again.

But now school shooting are just a regular thing. Violence is just a regular thing.

The kids that grew up on girls gone wild to the kids that are growing up on porn will be something that needs to be studied in the future. Did the whole incel culture increase or decrease?
