I agree but Brent Fayiaz Sonder's Son is too damn good also. Jorja Smith has potential though. Loving R&B these past few years overall. Truthfully I listen to it more than hip-hop nowadays....and its been that way for a while now. H.E.R.Nah... none of them are seeing H.E.R. That debut album is going to kill the game.
They’re cool, but they don’t come close talent wise. But then again, I’m very picky too. You have to be freaking amazing for me to really look your way. I see myself potentially “stanning” (I hate that term, but I can see myself being a huge fan) H.E.R. She actually can sing with soul (that isn’t really common with most of these artists out now) and she’s a dope as multi-instrumentalist/songwriter. Yea I was enamored with her whole mystique and roll out to the point I started realizing I was low key stalking her. They’re cool, but they don’t come close talent wise. Another one that got on my radar was Gallant with the talent. He's the heir apparent to Maxwell

Yea thats what had me confused and happy at the same time. Maybe he learned from Ology b/c it was ehh IMO. Hopefully everything on the new one is on this level.“Gentlemen” is one of the best R&B songs released this year. I actually think it’s better than any song on ‘Ology’. It didn’t really do a lot for me aside from 3 songs. So hopefully I’ll enjoy album 2 a lot better.

Just stay in the R&B thread and all kinds of gems are shared and discussed. This is hot, why haven't y'all been putting me this on sooner?

This...She has a unique voice . She is what Tinashe should have been without reaching for the overly sexed angle. This is Ella Mai's year.

Can I just say that I only care about H.E.R.?! She’s the one with a LOT of talent. The others are cool, but don’t come close.

I'm confused why Jaquees is on the list tho![]()
