Agreed. These new R and B artists missing something terrible. Like there's no IT factor with them at all, but H.E.R., she actually has potential to be the next best thing due to her breaking out of the norm and her song lyrics actually sound a bit thought provoking. For instance,

Thank you!! Someone who understand's exactly how I feel!! She did her thing on "Best Part" and really carried that song. I really can't see any other new female artist singing on it aside from H.E.R. She's just soulful, and smooth with it vocally and lyrically. The soulful vocals and substantial lyricism is what is missing in today's R&B music and out of them all, she has those two elements. I am just excited to really see how much her career blossoms in the next few years. She truly has NEXT!

But I wouldn’t consider Jacquees a freshman, he been around for like 5 years.

listen, if these kids ever decide to switch it up and try their shot at the secular market the have the combined talent and artistry to WRECK the RnB game with the right branding sound and production.. frfr. RnB has that alt PB and J vibe where everyone's delivery vocally is too similar ..either some mix of rih/frank/Aaliyah etc that kind of meshes all the sounds together.. we are in need of some more vocal heavy hitters.. These kids have what it takes to flip the game on its head..
