So wait...did Odin die or something?

Nah. I took that as he was probably out doing something, and Loki snuck in and pretended to be him for a second. That's why he said "I could never tell you how proud I am", etc. in case Thor saw Odin later and decided to ask him about that conversation. Kinda like "we're both men, men don't show emotions, this is between us".

I thought the movie was aight but it suffered from the same thing almost every Marvel movie (and almost every super hero movie, period) does. They either make the super heroes a lot weaker or they make sure not to include the strongest ones in the major fights.

The main example in this movie is Odin not being in any of the fight scenes. Odin is a fukking beast, the movie would've been over in about 2 minutes. They did the same shyt in "Ironman 3"....dude was wearing knock off suits or didn't have suit at all 90% of the movie.

Instead of dumbing down the heroes they need to add better villains.

No offense man but you're incredibly out of touch with reality. The bonus scenes are half the reason people go see these movies. I'm gonna guess you never seen any of these movies in theaters, because people lost their fukking minds when Nick Fury, Thanos, whatever appeared on screen after the movie was over.

That coli exaggeration:ohlawd:

The first ever Avengers movie would have made 1.5bil with or without that stupid sceneon.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
The film rights to FF is owned by FOX. Marvel can't touch that property. Although they did try to get Galactus back last year, but to no avail.
all the money marvel made on movies.... not to mention all the money from comics... plus Disney money.....

they can't afford to drop a few billion on buying all these rights back.. so we can get all official marvel movies?

I personally don't want to see anybody doing them. and the fact we could have ANY marvel character popping up/teaming up for a movie would be perfect

Like I said, you cats are out of touch with reality. The dude I responded to had never even seen any of these movies in the theaters.

Watch the "X-Men" franchise, or the "Justice League" franchise try to pull off the same shyt with no connecting movies, with no after credit scenes, and do nowhere near $1.5 billion.

Then we can talk about how none of this shyt is important.

The bolded is what helped Avengers to pull in what it did. You're the one out of touch if you believe an after credits scene played any part whatsoever in the box office haul.

:snoop:

You obviously never seen any of these in the theaters because nobody would go to multiple Marvel movies, see the entire theater stay sat the fukk down for the after-credits scenes, then try to argue they had zero impact on the interest and success of the franchise. Nick Fury appearing at the end of "Iron Man" had no impact on interest in the rest of the movies? You're telling me the internet wasn't on fire directly after that, talking about The Avengers movie? Or Thor, after "Iron Man 2"? Twitter wasn't on fire talking about Thanos after "The Avengers"?

You're out of your mind man. Like I said, when "X-Men" and "JLA" half ass attempts to do the same thing....or hell, even "Spiderman", with the Sinister Six angle....without the same formula, just loosely connected movies....then you'll see how crazy you sound.

Actually except for Captain America I've seen them all in the theatre.

Simple question.....are you saying if you never saw that scene you wouldn't have watched Avengers?
I'm not saying it's not a nice treat for movie goers but all it did was put us on notice that the Avengers was in the works. The people that stayed after the credits are the same people that would've seen Avengers regardless. Trailers and word of mouth did the rest of the work to get people in the seats.

Did he ever talk like that In the comics all humble n shyt i thought Odin was like a powerhouse. So they just regular powerful humans who is stopping some random asgardian from taking over?
