I don't really get it either. When you compare his position on the roster to his in ring and promo talents, there's a whole lot to be desired. Almost everybody on the roster is either great in the ring or on the mic and he's below average in both areas to me. Rebound clotheslines and weird facial expressions do not do it for me.
I'm not one to shyt on people for their opinions or anything though. I will admit that he has something that gravitates people to him and that's a major box checked.

I think he has an interesting promo style. It's definitely the most unique cadence on the roster.
Also, and this seems to have been by accident, but his booking over the past year or so taken as a whole is actually really good. His rise to champion has actually been about as organic as it gets for the WWE. Looking back at all the false starts and such. Him and Seth both coming down off the latter with the belt. Him stealing the title. Getting destroyed by Brock in a match that he was kayfabe stupid to take. It's a nice little story actually.

I always thought the kid dropped great promos. Much rather see him with the belt than that snoozefest reigns.
