how is that sapphire working out for you?
Got my 50,000 point bonus, working out great. Consensus among churners is that the sapphire preferred is the goat travel card and that's about right. The ability to transfer your points to any provider is fantastic. I'll probably keep this one as my main even with the annual fee.

I just got the united explorer card with only a $2000 spend over 3 months, so I'll be getting that 50k for united next. Got the advantage card with citi a few months ago and got 50k AA from that. I have three international trips planned over the next 9 months and won't be paying a dime for any of them. I spent many years racking up southwest points too so I basically fly free domestic whenever I want

Charge card isnt credit you bum ass nikka, you pay that shyt in full each month

Real nikkas like me be on flights so that 100 airline credit drops the fee to 95 a year ho

Stick to your little bytch ass debit card fakkit, this is real nikka shyt over here
If there's no bonus to that card a $200 fee is a joke. The real reward to these cards is in the signup bonuses not the everyday rewards although those can be good too

So you sign up to get new credit cards for the signup bonuses and then keep them open? How many cards to you have breh? Also how many points correspond to say a $500 plane ticket?

I think the sapphire points equal around 600 but it really depends. For example, going to Eastern Europe in August and flights are pretty rxpensive, around $1000, but you can fly there using miles for 50k, and if you fly business class on AA I believe it's only 76k. So there's huge value.

I will probably be closing most of these airline cards but I haven't decided yet. Having cards stay open ages your credit history which is good for your score. But I'll probably want to churn and reapply for these cards. At this point though there's other cards I want to apply for. I'm looking for that Barclays card next

I got a lot of cards but I don't use most of them. I use the Amex blue cash for groceries, discover it and chase freedom for different categories. Then I have the sapphire which is my main

You just keep and applying and reapplying and cancelling to get the bonuses. This is getting harder though. They are cracking down

Good shyt last question don't all those pulls and account opens / closes negatively affect your credit?

did you have a previous relationship with chase before getting the sapphire?

churning is essentially signing up for a card, getting the sign up bonus after 3 months, then doing it again with another card?

edit: i just saw your answer above. so you have to cancel the card? :patrice: i dont want that killing my AAoA.

reddit keeps an excel sheet for this with the best bonuses currently available.

technically yeah, but opening more accounts alsodrives up your credit line and lowers your utilization ratio. its mostly a wash IMO and my credit has only gotten better since i started doing this

you dont have to close your account, typically at the end of the year you can just call retention and have them waive your annual fee for the next year (usually by giving you monthly spending bonuses). i was just thinking of doijng that so i can reapply for the same bonuses. ill have to do some more research

that virgin atlantic card 90,000 miles though :patrice: :leon:

100 airline credit knocks it down to 95, plus primary rental insurance, 3x points for booking flights through the airline, i got a 50k signup bonus, nikka thats 2 round trip flights with airline credit
