I always immediately shut that shyt down let’s all hear and understand the joke/jokes since shyt is so funny :unimpressed:

I remember this Dominican girl and Mexican girl started speaking Spanish around me at work and I told them it’s rude they tried to tell me that it isn’t rude for them to speak their native language

Had to remind them that’s the white mans language and you’re not white :manny:

It’s cool though I soon sign up for Duolingo and put a end to all the bs :sas1:

Man, personally I don't care what language ppl use, but that doesn't take away the fact that it is rude. Ppl wanna holler privacy while in public. Smh

Want privacy?? Then take your privacy wanting a-- somewhere private and have the private conversation! 😂

I am sure this topic has been brought up before, but I want to revisit the topic.

What are your thoughts on ppl who feel that it is OK to speak a non English speaking
language @ work?

My postion is that everyone need to speak a common language unless their specific job description calls for them to speak another language.

Other than that, it is impolite to rude especially around coworkers who do not speak that particular language.

Thoughts??

i'm pretty indifferent, because i know it's natural to revert to your native language

but people have a right to :camby: that shyt, too. it's arguably anti-social behavior in a work setting

You wanna know what really confuse me? Ppl who wanna talk in their native tongues want respect from others that they aren't giving when speaking in their native tongues.

When at work, one is suppose to effing work! Speak professionally and in a language that everyone else can understand. On private time, do whatever and say whatever.

But, don't do that iish and cry that you are being disrespected in English. It's the hypocrisy that be killing me..

You ever think to yourself the reason why they defer to their native tongues is so that they’re able to be more expressive you know…because it’s not their first language. You sound like a xenophobe.

they clearly want to speak without someone knowing what is said, but imagine me being offended by someone who doesn't have the nerve to say it to my face :manny:

Can you elaborate on your accusation??

First off, me wanting ppl to be professional and using decorum has zero to do with being a xenophobe. Next, how do you know if whatever language they are using is their first language?

Maybe they are the xenophobe? Or is that impossible for them?

You don't have to be offended, but the next co worker may be offended. Have you ever taking an SH and HWI course??
