You are right, I can learn whatever language a fellow coworker is speaking, but what does that language have to do with the job itself??
It is simply rude to speak another language around others at work that don't speak that particular language UNLESS said language is necessary to communicate with customers, patients, clients, etc.
I agree with you. That is rude.
It just never ends there. People start feeling outnumbered and get in their feelings, and very quickly turn into karening harpies yelling

at two people saying hello to each other in the morning when they walk in before the business day even starts...simply because they did it in another language.
Also, nobody ever seems to think it rude when the English speakers are in the majority and they're the ones being exclusionary. It works both ways.
Outside the job description, speak English. Want to have a private conversation? Simply do that on your own time & dime.
Depends on the business and scale, I'd guess. If it's a small-thinking Jackson Hewitt franchise serving a local community of people then sure. PWC isn't about to make that mistake.
