I think this is a good story, investing in black owned banks does help the overall black economic infrastructure.

One thing me and some of my colleagues are working on is starting our own pharmaceutical company. There are a LOT black pharmacists in Dallas including myself who are putting our money together to fund this now.

A lot of people don't understand that drug companies sell both the generic and brand name of the SAME drug. It's really all insurance based on which one can be covered and which you will have to pay out of pocket. So either way they still get paid.

Since I'm in the pharmaceutical industry I see everyday how the high cost of prescriptions affect so many people, especially low income blacks who sometimes can only afford to get a few BP pills or not get the meds they need at all because some drug companies are so greedy that they'll only make the expensive brand name of the drug to drive up their revenue.

Our company will be specifically gears towards blacks, especially elderly and low income with a form of universal healthcare for those who need it. It will be like a free standing ER that subsides into a pharmacy and other things.

Since the a lot of the services we will provide will be free for the people, we will keep the business afloat will drug patents. We will admixture and compound IV and PO meds so it will be cheaper for the manufacture to make deals with us instead of the bigger companies because we are a team of nuclear pharmacists. So when the government writes the checks for universal insurances like Medicaid and Medicare, the volume of the money will go to us and then we in turn will invest right back into the people who need it.

As we go further, we can open up more traditional pharmacies around the city and see where it goes from there as far retaining money for ourselves all while giving even more money back. The drug industry is a trillion dollar business and I feel blacks should have a piece of that because the term "WEALTH" can be ambiguous, real wealth lies within your health. We have to take care of ourselves health wise.

I think the bigger picture with black banks and affordable healthcare for blacks is the reinvestment into the communities and that's a real passion of mine. We can all buy black but for those who will be the sellers, they must know that if they are not investing everything into the black community then it will not matter. We can't allow different black businesses to be infiltrated once success starts.

Which one are you guys talking about?

Its one on the East coast but I'd prefer not to say which one.

Windows 7 is still supported by Microsoft.

Plus, I work at a MSP (IT) and we have clients in all sorts of industries; banking, health care, paralegals, industrial...

Most are still on 7 for various reasons.

They may have their reasons (financial, safety, etc.) but the optics didn't look good at all. I definitely felt like I downgraded.

Went into the bank and saw they were operating on Windows 7.:merchant:

I am gonna stick it out though :to:

Id be more worried if they were running 10

Upgrading always causes bugs and more problems, personally I would feel best if they were running XP, cuz then you know the software is old and it's more likely to be stable

It's an investment. Ur money isn't going to disappear. Calm down :russ:
They expect a bank with nine figures to look like BOA who has billions on billions of assets. Black people like, well Wells Fargo is much better. They are but seriously, we need one United and industrial Bank to step their games up though once they do get a lot of accounts. They can't horde the money, they need to make their services better as well as offer loans. That alone is worth millions to me
