I understand why someone would count them out as not being up there as far as NWA influence goes because their huge influence wasn't and hasn't been just a hyped up thing that happened over night or a few months. It's something that gradually happened over 25 years infiltrating the culture.

Wacky D tried downplaying their contributions while using UGK as an example of a group thats been more infkuential completing skipping over the fact that UGK was heavily inspired by Three 6 and DJ Paul is one of his favorite rappers. Ridiculous.

The white colinal(elitist) picks who they want you to feel did what/or had the most influence

When you have your own two eyes and ears and do your own research

Of course NWA is number one.. Or RUN DMC but after there is an unexpected group at 3.

You can pick up Pimps book from last year and he's giving them credit for their sound and its immediate influence in the BOOK..

Yeah. I went to far with that. My point is that their isn't an album out there with a strong 36 influence that's an unquestionable classic.
thug motivation 101 is unquestionable :manny:

just depends on how you detect an influence really.

TPC
- Ludacris first 3 albums
- pick the DJ Screw tape of your choice
- Dem Franchise Boyz - On Top Of Our Game
- Crime Mob - Hated On Mostly
My bad. I meant to write "classic" album.
I know they are influential, but my whole point is that that influence has yet to yield an unquestionable classic album.

And can you explain the Luda and Screw influence?
I know people have claimed that Luda had elements of Bone in his style. Is that what you're referring to?

:coffee:

lls same two three people in here pleading for nikkas not to see it but it's to late

These young boys have been indoctrinated and introduced to the culture through 3 6 lenses... Not NWA not Run not PE not Jay/Nas.. Not pac not biggie

Funny because I said this in Jan and now you hear the kids telling you they don't connect to what we love and value.

With that said its to late to turn back and front on the mafia now

Without the mafia you don't have certain cornerstone artists that currently play a pivotal role in the culture

TI
Young Jeezy
Gucci Mane
Lil Jon & The Eastsideboyz
Luda
Rick Ross
DJ KHALED
Yo Gotti
Flock
Lil Uzi
Desiigner

2 Chainz
RHQ
Future
Migos
A$AP ROCKY
A$AP Ferg
Chief Keef
Lil Durk
21 Savage
Shy Glizzy
Fat Trel
Young Thug
Scrappy
FRENCH MONTANA
Young Dolph
YFN Lucci

Producers
Lex Luger
Zay
Mike will
Lil Jon
Metro Boomin
KANYE WEST
Wheezy
Dun Deeal

Now look at the artists who've actually adopted their sound for songs or albums at some point in their career

Kanye West/Jigga
Meek Mill
Wale
Nas
Mobb Deep
50 Cent
The Game
Scarface
The Ruff RyderS
The Lox
Fat Joe
Diddy
Nelly
The Diplomats

I could go on but I would hurt feelings. They've got artists outside of hip hop who've dibbled and dabbled with their sound

They're sound literally right now dictates the culture and now the Coli is starting to see it

You can't turn back now :bryan:
exactly. it all depends on how you detect an influence on an album.
if an influence means having another artist's album's landscape sounding identical to a 3-6 album...track for track then sure. But going by that barometer youd be hardpressed to find any influence anwhere.

Fact of the matter is that crunk music, drill music, trap music are pretty much are all derivatives of three six mafia music

the production we hear
the flows we hear

three 6

add young chop, drumma boy, dj toomp, and southside to that list of producers

thing is, this 3-6 mafia love seems to be a trendy message board movement right now. and usually, most of the people that take part in these types of things, don't know much.

3-6 never had a run. it doesn't matter how many coli posters get into their music 20 years after the fact. they just simply weren't THAT group.

You should post these exact words in every struggle 3 6 Mafia thread from now on.

Lord Infamous of 3-6 was the first to use the "migos flow", and damn near all the rap game used that shyt at one point in time.
