Look at UTexas, even more resources, the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country, easy conference to win, and still can't make it happen.

Beating osu and msu has been all I've been worried about for years, not a national title. They can't get over that hump let alone competing with Clemson/Bama.

The midwest doesn't produce the level of talent to compete with Bama/SEC/Texas/Clemson. OSU has been a national title contender for about 20 years so these current recruits grew up watching them as a major program thus willing to go there from the south/tx/cali. IMO michigan needs better coaching, the top 10-15 classes will keep rolling in...win some big games and then start to bring in more national recruits.
