A greatly overlooked album is Mac Dre Is The Name - it just has a really smooth laidback late-90's early 2000's feel

Check it out though - Mac Dre Is The Name is an anomaly in the catalog because it's a transition between his post-prison style and his Thizz years so check this out. It has such a classic sound




He did a song of the same title though, it's from the 1989 Young Black Brotha EP - it didn't make the LP for some reason

I'm an east coast dude, born and raised in North Jersey. That said, I moved out west in 2011 - Oregon first, then LA for the last two years - and I gotta say: people really need to visit this side of the country to fully appreciate the music and vibe that comes out of this region.
