The ppl shytting on us are annoying, but honestly we can't say shyt. This team failed, not only that they failed spectacularly despite the highest contract ever and a 300+ M payroll.

The Mets and us(the fans) deserve it :hubie:
Just take it like a man, because we can't say shyt til they hoist at minimum a pennant(probably a WS). :dame:

Situational baseball IQ has to improve. RISP was a major issue

Talented team that couldn't push the fatigue of 162
Especially on the pitching side. They walk too many guys. Mets winning a game by 4 plus runs and guys are up there throwing breaking balls with 3 ball counts. Too much worry about spinning and not enough about throwing strikes.
Also, since Antoine Richardson base stealing coaching is such a strength let’s get some actually fast running players.

Mendoza I am gonna give him some understanding because he was managing the bullpen decently but then one reliever after another started shytting the bed and he lost complete faith in everyone not named Diaz or Raley. But that caused him too have too quick a hook. Pulling relievers for giving up one hit or one walk and giving the next reliever runners on or in scoring position situations which isn't ideal. Rogers would have been better but he kept putting him in the game with runners on base.

I’m taking it as Mendy and his boneheaded fukkin decisions.

I’m pretty sure that’s not what he meant, but that’s how I’m taking it. :birdman:
Mendy did panic down the stretch with his bullpen moves but they left him little choice. Seriously, Stanek early in the year and Helsley his entire tenure really sucked. Helsley being as bad as he was is just head scratching. I never seen people tee off on velocity like that.

To be fair, Mendy’s boneheaded bullpen moves were evident last year too. We chalked it up as needing that year to grow.

Stanek even being on the roster for as long as he did is where I think Stearns messed up. The inconsistency was way too much for the short lived stretches of dominance, but he didn't cut him so then you end up shuffling guys like crazy. I get you can't be too emotional and cutting ppl like its nothing, but it had to be done. It looked more glaring after making the bullpen trades and having a guy like Helsley shyt the bed so you end up relying on a guy you should've been cut.
