It's not a real story tho. It's one game. Against one of the single season winningest teams in history. Against one of the best coaches in history.
Lemme give you a little tip 80+% of the shyt they talk about is not a story but they frame it a way to make it a story cause they have a ton of hours of programming to fill. Pay attention, become a smarter sports fan.

Cavs had the same problem last year (somewhat this year) where they haven't adapted to the new paradigm. YOu have two great teams with great systems and great players. It's no longer a one man show or a two man show or even a 3 man show with heavy doses of iso-ball. The great teams also have great defenses.

But one man teams never really worked and if you say the dream his team had really good shooters and a very good rebounder with Thorpe and a monster in a coach with Rudy T.....I for one think coaching really do matter case in point all the years they blamed brooks on the thunder and hill on the magic

It's more so about the offenses. The issue in the one star per team era wasn't defense, it was offense. 85-83 scores were the norm. If you had two guys that could score 40 you automatically had an edge. Now you got these squads that can put up 110 every night with guys that can score all over court. You can't beat that with a one or even two man show.

2 man teams can still work. All it takes is a good coach/system

I mean just look at Golden State. A team full of good passers/shooters and Mark Jackson had them playing ISO ball. Kerr comes in, sees the personnel and implements a system that plays to their strengths and all of a sudden go from a talented but underachieving squad to goat status
