I don't how you could reasonably say Ross doesn't deserve a place among the top 5. For the past decade, he's easily been the most consistent and most influential rapper in the industry, with a discography of albums that are timeless and still see heavy play among the playlists of millions. Trilla, Teflon Don, Deeper than Rap, God Forgives..Two of those are certified classics, the other two arguable classics in their own right. The singles he's dropped are still considered some of the best songs released in the past decade. BMF, Stay Scheming, Rich Forever, Rich off Cocaine, Mafia Music. Name the artists who have exceeded the quality of his output from the moment he was on the scene to now. You can't. I know some of you want to act as if the CO controversy is a mark against his record that he'll never be able to wipe away, one that puts his consideration among the the top 5 or 10 in jeopardy, but most people don't give a shyt about that. The simple fact is that the dude is one of the most respected artists in the industry, receives nothing but love from the streets, and has dropped timeless cuts that fill all of our playlists. You can't be a serious aficionado of this music and not give Ross his due unless you're a hater.
