Realistically, where does Meth rank among the best to ever pick up a mic?
In the 90's, Meth was the man.
He stood toe to toe & held his own against everyone on record for his own Wu brothers to BIG to Red to Pac to Mobb etc
Even tho a couple of his solo albums left more to be be desired, all in all, Method Man was definitely standing tall among the best of the best.
shyt, honestly, I think he's gotten even better as an MC over the last 10 years. 4:21 was a slept on album.

I think the wait between Tical 2000 and The Prequel didn't help.Then The Prequel was a bad album. I fukked with that Afterparty joint but that album was wack.
I think I'mma revisit his catalog today to see if The Prequel sounds any better today.

I didn't come around to appreciating Tical 2000 until a few years later. At the time when it dropped, I was neither here nor there on the album.
It was cool but nothing to be hyped about.
But he's definitely 1 of those MCs that's always had that "it" factor

Never listened to Tical 2000 or The Prequel.

Tical 1 wasn't up there wit 36 Chambers, Return to the 36th, OB4CL, or Liquid Swords so I kinda sleep on it

4:21 was one of my favorite albums of 06.

Both Blackout albums were IMO.

Mef is one of the best rappers to ever do it. I was looking forward to that RZA produced album he was supposed to drop after 4:21
