If the least privileged group of women can so easily emasculate a group of men, maybe those men aren’t who they thought they were...

I know nikkas are going to love her for asking this but it’s actually insulting. How do you as a man need a woman’s help and guidance to find/maintain your masculinity? That’s embarrassing.

If you as a man can’t even be a man without help, what can you do? :francis:
The question she asked went over your head

Yall are NOW realizing this? Vice covered this topic about a million times already. Divest ideology spread like wildfire on tiktok, twitter, and facebook during the pandemic. black men always got their heads in the sand while things are happening. It's sad to watch.
I thought it was just me....and I have no way to prove it, but I've noticed that there was a major upswing in anti-black male talk online ever since the George Floyd protests. There were small groups of black women online who were pissed off at how the world reacted to George Floyd's homicide because they felt that Brianna Taylor's murder didn't draw the same reaction.

Now there has always been a fringe element of BW online who used white supremacist talking points going back to the year 2000, and they were getting mainstream around the mid and late 2000s, but the aggression and attention have gone full force over the last 2 years and have spread to the creation of new blogs and podcasts.

Now lately, there has been this major push to make it appear as if black women were making major gains politically and economically--which sort of created ammunition amongst radicalized black feminists online to use against black men, and it seems as if it has gained a lot of traction.

Like I said in a previous post, this thought process has been out there for years already...but I've noticed that now these types of discussions have become talking points on my FB timeline amongst black women where it seemed to be contained to very specific websites before in the past

impo if this type of talk continues to go unchecked- and grow at the pace that it has been growing---it will lead to a creation of an equally destructive anti-black female version of it.

I've even seen a few BM posts on here and a few twitter feeds saying things like "then go get raped by a WM like yall used to" and other repulsive insults that you would never hear someone say before

It has nothing to do with the George Floyd protest. Here's what happened. For some reason around 2015/2016 social media platforms changed. Especially twtitter. They went from being places where people trolled or just posted about normal topics to becoming propaganda tools. We saw this in 2015 when the far right took control of Ukraine. It kept getting worse, but in order forr propaganda to spread you need active users. During the pandemic a lot of people who otherwise didn't spend all day surfing the net suddenly HAD to (couldn't leave the house). I have a clip of a black MOTHER explaining how she became a divestor after she got bored and started watching Cynthia G videos during the pandemic. At the same time, tools like discord, parler and other similar apps became popular during 2020. This means that people with similar views could meet online now.

Last month there was a black woman who works in politics that was recruiting other black women to attend the "black feminicde march on washington" that will take place in september. Now every social media platform has a black femicide page. We're also getting blamed for homicides that non black men commit on black women because the stats say "domestic violance on black women are commited by intimite partnenrs". Most poeple assume that "intimate partners" means black men.

Another thing I noticed is that apps like twitter allow black women from abroad to "chip in" to issues we're having here. Whenever these anti black male tweets go viral i check the likes to see whose behind it. A whole lott of "london, germany, Lagos" in their bios.

we're talking about politics and media. Look at the whole Ketanjo Brown story. Look at that article that was recently written by the new york post. Would they ever write articles like that about ANY other community?

What story specifically ? Also she’s the first black woman SC Justice, it’s unreasonable to expect her not to be written about. That woman is history and should be embraced by the black community regardless of who she married.

As for the article, he wrote a book on damn near the same subject like a decade ago, something tells me he isn’t backing down. This is something he clearly believes in lol black wife or not.

I’m lost as to what you expect Black women to do about either of these situations

I agree with you on the propaganda
I see many white supremacist talking points on LSA
The problem is, you can’t even verify if these people are black and it goes unchecked
But black femicide IS a problem
If you can’t even admit that ,no conversation can be had

yeah. It ain’t as intense in person because it’s easy to just tap tap away to a screen vs someone in person that can confront you and your bullshyt. But most black women harbor resentment for black men on SOME level. They just got the sense to know that the onus is on then to be more discerning

There was a time that I thought this was true then I sent my kid to school

1st grade: He in a private school and had a teacher that was actively trying to fail all the boys. Wha this broad didnt know was these kids been together since k3 we all had a group chat that been going for a while, they go each other bdays etc etc. Folks start comparing notes and 1 of the mothers found her online profile where she putting out articles about aborting black boys. We bring this info to the board of the school and get her azz fired :camby:

3rd grade; I get a call from school about my kid and drug use. He has bad allergies which trigger his asthma, weve taught him how to recognize and the steps to deal with it, shyt popped off & he did as taught. I explain this to asst principal as a broader man being self responsible and get his with "Well Hetero-normative behavior aside ..."
Hetero wha? :martin:

Middle school; They taking they math placement tests and his and a few of the other boys scores is poppin. We get called in and told that there is no way they can get these scores without help. She is actively trying to prove that they scores werent earned, got them being watched everytime they take tests. Dig up her profile: active divestor

While I agree a bunch of em are playing a role; these folks is out here in real life affecting real lives

You need to make this as public as possible

But black femicide IS a problem
Murder in the community is a problem, due to poverty and a pandemic. To use the term "femicide" in that context is suspect. Femicide is usually seen as the intentional targeting of females. That has never happened in the community here. There are 3 times as many males dying, so is that " black androcide"?

Some definitions of femicide do in fact include domestic violence.
“Homicide” is too gender neutral and erases the very real gender based violence women face.

Your last sentence is so insulting and is exactly why these movements are necessary.
Imagine telling someone your suffering doesn’t matter or matters less and then being mad when those same people break off to advance their interests.
A black woman should not have to argue with a black man about the value of a black woman’s life yet that’s what these conversations so often turn into

shyt like this is infuriating to me. people will gaslight and act like black men are just "failing" on our own. I'm always saying that people actively sabotage black men and it's not just just them talking about us, they take action. Even as small children we are actively being fukked with and you'll have people telling us to just "man up" through it.

Thanks for sharing. repped.

I agree, the femicide homicide rate is a problem.

Are you calling out these nefarious Divestors who are lying on Black Men with talking points such as “Black Men are killing Black Women every 6 hours” when the homicide rate does not make a distinction by race as to which group of people are killing Black Women yet divestors have made Black Men the face of it?

Also femicide and homicide are not the same thing.

Femicide is the intentional murder of a woman because she is a woman.

Divestors are stating that Black Men are intentionally killing black women because they're Black Women. Which is a damn lie. Are you challenging this?
