Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Kobe being the best SG at 35 >>> Duncan being the best big man in this weak ass era of big men

:skip:at 17 and 9 = being the best big man in the league

Kobe is 34, he played this season at 34.

He will be 35 next season, and I doubt he'll be the best SG in the league :russ: Let alone the best perimeter player, since LeBron and KD still exist.

 @ "Serious decline" He had one year of 13/9 and it came in under 30 minutes.

Yet again, what does this have to do with Bron saying Duncan has been the best player of the last 15 years?

Bron's reasoning doesnt add up

-says he's more consistent, ive already debunked that
-said he's more dominant, some years yeah, but Kobe is one of the most dominant offensive forces of all time and his dominance has prevented Duncan from advancing in the playoffs in 4 difference cases.
-said he has rings, Kobe has more
-said he has MVP, Kobe has that but its common knowledge he was hoed out of a few

Of course his reasoning doesn't add up to you, this is his last sentence

But I think true basketball, true IQ people, players know how great he is. What else can you say?

people been saying this for the last 3-4 years. Bottomline is, Kobe been the best SG for the last 14 years, same cant be said for Duncan.

You had to add an extra year to his age to make it seem as impressive, how you gonna rep Kobe and not even know how old he is :scusthov:

Word? And the last 3 years, the Lakers haven't been very good.

Dwight Howard? :russ: back injury or not he would have been exposed for what he is. When exactly is the last time Bynum has played a full 82? And Chauncey came back from a torn achilles, it's not 1978 anymore you can comeback from that injury.

1976 to 2013.
Yes Dwight Howard.

If Dwight was healthy he would be a top 5 player like he was from 08 to 12.

Bynum played 60 out of 66 games in 12. Missed 6 games due to suspension.

When was the last time Duncan played 82?

You're a Duncan homer, so you aren't objective when it comes to him. You do the same thing you accuse the Kobe stans of doing.

That would be a good argument, except for the fact he was the best big man in the league when the league was LOADED with great players at his position. The quality of big men has no bearing on his production, he would do what he does regardless of the era. The only thing that slowed him down was his knee.

Nevermind, you're missing the entire point of what I just said to you. You must be doing it intentionally. My argument had nothing to do with what Tim Duncan would do with other great big men. The point was using best "big man", or better-stated, Duncan's production relative to other big men in the league, which doesn't mean much right now as a proxy for equating or even trying to make his current level of play over the past 5 years comparable to Kobe's is ridiculous. Yet, this is the ankle of a lot of Spurs fans and Duncan proponents keep trying to use. I call out bullshyt arguments for Kobe all the time (except when they're just hilarious), and I have to call it out for TD.

Your argument would hold weight if he entered the league in 2005 or so.

Being the best big man in the league at 37 is a huge accomplishment regardless of ERA as well.

See above. You're both pretending like you don't understand what I'm getting at. No one said Duncan's accomplishment isn't a big one. But (A) he is no, way, shape, or form performing anywhere near the level he was 10 years ago so any argument that even insinuates as much is nonsense. Quite frankly, that should be offensive to a Duncan fan. (B) Saying Duncan's production right now, or over the past 5 years is anywhere near comparable to Kobe's based on where he ranks relative to fellow big men is like saying Duncan averaging 25 and 13 while the two best players in the NBA are big men is comparable to Kobe averaging 18 5 and 4 while the best wing players in the league are averaging 20 5 and 5. Both of you know better. I'm sitting here with the :wtf: face.

Yes Dwight Howard.

No, Dwight was surrounded by a team full of shooters that could help maximize his weakass post game. Even being healthy on that Lakers team he wouldn't have been "top 5".

Bynum played 60 out of 66 games in 12. Missed 6 games due to suspension.

When was the last time Duncan played 82?

You really gonna talk about Bynum and health, after he's just missed an entire season. Seriously?

Duncan hasn't played a full 82 in years, however he hasn't missed nearly as many games as Bynum.

You're a Duncan homer, so you aren't objective when it comes to him. You do the same thing you accuse the Kobe stans of doing.

I am a Duncan "homer" however unlike the Kobe stans, I will readily admit there have been better players than him year to year. Do you see me calling him the greatest player ever either? I'm not at all objective when it comes to Kobe vs Duncan, because to me Duncan has been better :yeshrug: but I'm a whole lot more objective than dudes who say Kobe is STILL the best player in the league or the greatest ever.

@Malta, I bet if he joined the Hawks with Al and CP3. He would be a top 3 NBA without question and more impactful than Duncan next year without question. Wanna put some Coli cash on it if he signs with Atlanta. If he doesn't, disregard what i just said.

this if the first year in the last 5, Duncan has been the best big men. Dwight was better the previous 4 years.
