This dude isn't winning anything. He has everything going against him and he only raising his profile to go on the conservative punditry circuit
1. He's not married.
2. He has no charisma or charm.
3. Lacks a pedigree: IVY league or Stanford or MIT etc
4. Many black people think he's a tokenized c00n
5. Still seems like a country bumpkin
6. No crazy business success

As the other posters said: he only got on in the "GOP's were not racist, so let's elect a black token" phase

Sure they did, here’s exhibit A:

Just cause they don’t say it to ya face, don’t mean they ok with it. White supremacy has become more refined since Civil Rights were “passed”. But just fukk up one time, and watch it all ooze out of them.

Remember when Ben Carson was running, and the polls had him 3rd after Trump and Cruz? We see how well that worked out.

Plus, I don’t think he’ll beat Nimrata in South Carolina in the primary. But he’s the go-to authority on black people in the GOP. They had him lead the police reform team.

Since Obama the GOP always throws in a token who shoots up to "front runner" for like a month or two before they move on for real. Herman Cain, Alan Keyes, and so on.

I'm not one for Washington conspiracies, but man...I remember when Ben Carson was front runner for literally no reason. Had no policy plan whatsoever. Just getting up on the stage and carrying on and on about how he overcame this that and the third. Everyone on stage refused to ever attack or criticize him. It was almost sad. Almost as though they knew he was completely unexperienced, has no idea about anything government-wise (which he would confess in interviews at the time), and they know exactly why he's here.

I remember at one point they even went around the stage and everyone "congratulated" Carson for being the front runner at the time. For real.

And for no explainable reason--with no change to his style or demeanor or rhetoric---suddenly he's in 4th place a day later.

It couldn't be more obvious his candidacy...and I'm almost willing to believe his poll numbers...was all orchestrated just to keep the GOP field from being all racist white men. Again, I HATE conspiracy theories, and I hate suggesting them as a way to explain odd things. But only because this was so inconsequential, it's so hard to believe the GOP does not manufacture this shyt just for optics.
