but really tho, did anybody expect a good movie anyway? theres nothing movie-worthy about aalyiah's story aside from her sexcapades. they need to just be happy that she got a flick.

it was obviously something special about her for her music to stand the test of time like it has and for people to go this hard for her

It is something about it and it's Timbaland and Ginuwine not her she barely has a better voice than Ciara.

and how exactly can someone do an aaliyah movie well? she doesnt have an intriguing story. sure, i come off foul and im wrong for that, but the bolded is the truth and you know it.
selena was one of the pioneers for her race/genre. plus, there was a build-up to the way she died. HORRIBLE COMPARISON breh.
and i used to like aaliyah in real-time. i have nothing against her. i just hate revisionist history.
lets be real. theyre just milking her death with this movie. so what if girls looked up to her. theres a bunch of singers that they looked up to way more than aaliyah that dont have any chance of getting a movie.

That is beside the point. Her story may not be movie worthy, but it's ultimately the music that created her legacy. People are disgruntled because it was BS movie. They screwed up the story they had to work with.
