Hammer was dope. He didnt have the greatest lyrics but he had a great vocal performance on a lot of tracks,great singles and great live show.
He out battled run dmc,was riding for the west before anyone was.
Was successful before a major deal by driving up and down the west coast selling out the trunk.
So he may not been the dopest bar for bar but overall hammer was a dope rapper

The hate in this thread is real. Your favorite lackluster producers should of made better shyt so they could make king timbo's list . Stop bytching

You have a cac radio personality that doesn't know or feel the difference. You have Coli posters getting angry that haven't asked themselves the essential questions.
urban music has hip hop elements but it's not exactly hip hop. they are different things with different objectives.
Kanye is the worst on that list but I can't really hate. We're talking urban/pop hit-driven radio, and Ye (with all his producers) should be on that list.
Timbaland is top 5 HIP HOP imo. Premo and RZA are also top 5 hip hop. Not mad that Premo and RZA aren't on his list because he's going off radio/urban shyt, but a mention of Premo/Wu/Havoc would have been nice.
