Timbo vs Pharrell (Who you rockin with?)

I’m going Pharrell just based on how many songs he’s made and produced that are personal classics to me. This can easily go either way though. I wouldn’t be mad at either answer. They are stacked pretty evenly in all categories unless we get into the fashion and business acumen.

Can't go wrong with either, but Tim has the slight edge because I appreciate the extra complexity behind his beats.

Timbo. The complexity behind the beats. The grooves of his beats. The longevity and having multiple moments where is sound was driving urban music. I love Pharrell's music but to me personally, this aint close. I highly prefer Timbaland's sound.

This too. Timbaland's shyt, especially his R&B stuff, has aged extremely well IMO...

And Timbo was good at doing that weird, sparse, autistic sound that Pharrell would go back to. Whereas Pharrell had the sparse autistic sound (What Happened to that Boy) and the simple, organic instruments sound (Blurred Lines)

I thought this too but last week I just randomly started playing my best of neptunes playlist and that shyt was fire.

They really had a run like no other.

Timbaland's beats are better and knock harder overall but neptunes had a run for the history books.
