Pharrell by himself ain't it. Now, if he has Chad Hugo, aka "The Neptunes", then I'd reconsider it. Their beats been decent lately, Tim fell off lately

Timbo. The complexity behind the beats. The grooves of his beats. The longevity and having multiple moments where is sound was driving urban music. I love Pharrell's music but to me personally, this aint close. I highly prefer Timbaland's sound.

Tim's beats have a certain velvet luxury to them. Theres resonance there.

Neptunes just sound unreal and innovative.

And the hilarity of the convo in that vid bc when it comes to jay z produced tracks it gets real ugly. Timbo has the most jay z duds of any producer. Ie Magna Carta is essentially Timbalands album

They're 1a and 1b for me personally. I think Timbaland's style innovated music more so I always choose Timbo, but I prefer P/Neptunes/NERD's music.

Timbaland and this should not be close AT ALL. And I'll give you the reasons why:

- Albums: Aaliyah's One In A Million, Ginuwine's The Bachelor and 100%, Missy's first four, Justin Timberlake's Futuresex/LoveSounds and 20/20 Experience, and Nelly Furtado's Loose

-He could make hits with established artists and unknowns. The Neptunes struggled with new artists

- More often then not, if Timbaland and The Neptunes were on the same album, Timbaland had the bigger, better songs.

Timbaland >>>>>> The Neptunes. Both are in my Top 10.
