Yearby took a position coach job @ Coral High :sadcam:

what a weird career, 1k frosh then backup, then a forgotten player by the end of his junior year. if you told me him and Kaaya werent even on rosters Sept 2nd i wouldnt believe it. now Joe was gonna have the deck stacked against him because of physical limits, but Kaaya lookin like a dumbass

be a true freshman and run around brehs. DJ :laff:

I'm gonna be the pessimist of the group brehs, I we go 9-4. 8-4 and then win a mid-tier bowl game. It's just hard without a QB (or a true freshman QB if Nkosi gets it), no matter how good our D is projected to be. On that note, Manny Diaz at all his previous stops has had a really good first season but then his defense has dropped off in the future years. Hopefully, pairing him with coach Kool will negate that problem and our D will be really good again, but just a point to consider before we crown ourselves.

I think 2018-19 is the first year we are TRULY back and will be in playoff contention....Nkosi will be in his second year, our freshman studs on offense and defense last year will now be in their 3rd seasons, plus the 2018 class will provide some much needed quality depth/starter minutes.

I'm just happy that I feel like I'm watching MIAMI football again, I'm excited even if we're not at the talent levels just yet. But its coming

quoted for emphasis - especially the bolded

some of y'all were tripping thinking that Perry was going to start right off the bat, we're winning 11 for sure, or that the D was going to be guaranteed top 10, etc.

first game is what it was, just a tune up game where we looked rusty, so I don't want to overreact. but there are some troubling signs I see that need to get fixed.

ill take his over-aggressive style over the past 2 defensive schemes, but yea theres some things that have to get cleaned up

the talent is there, its all about assignments and how this corner situation develops. i like what i see from the 4 safeties, Red and Quan were around the ball all day, Knowles had a run stop near the goal line and Carter destroyed a guy late. place a ton of blame on the DL and Delaney. Bethel did not play well at all along with the starters, all 4 DT's had bad days

Jackson was the best corner, Young let 1 slip but i dont believe he allowed anything. looked good on the edge the other corners struggled to get off blocks. i love Young but he does lack a bit in run support atm

I'm not worried about the DL at all. Them nikkas spent all offsesason hearing about how great they were and didn't come with the necessary intensity. They will come ready to play next week.

Carter made the Broncos
Tracy Howard made the Jags
Coley and Isadora made the Vikings (i think Stacy can excel down the road in this situation)
Colbert made the Niners :wow: dude went from a total afterthought at Texas to making the league. i know Coach Rumph gotta be proud, the deck was really stacked against Grace and him to make their teams

feel bad for Quez, hes a 90s fullback in a modern era. he showed alot of heart in his 1 year, i think if any of the few teams that uses a fullback loses one he'll be on notice. pulling for him

Wasn't Kaaya projected to be a 3rd-4th round pick around the time of the draft? How do you go from that to actually being a 6th round pick to not even making the team?

Brad kaayA...

:snoop: Kaaya and Yearby both made terrible decisions.

:francis:
This is where all those Twitter Draft experts do these guys a disservice. Once Kaaya was hearing his name mentioned/tweeted about being a 1st round pick in spring of 2016....he was gone no matter what.

Its his Bday too
