Another thing that was dumb about Aliens was how Ripley just up and went back to the beacon site after knowing how the "unknown" life form got down.
It was so rushed it was just stupid. Oh I been floating in outer space for 57 years, the next thing I'm going to do is go back and see these beastly aliens get exterminated

people have been living there for decades with no issues. Now I know that given her history the answer would still be NO but as a person who is aware that we as human beings may not always be able to fully detect whether or not our experiences/perceptions are true
(Schizophrenics, Religious ppl who claimed they heard/seen God, vivid dreams etc) Mental illness and delusions exist so maybe she just assumed she was crazy and wanted to prove herself wrong? To be honest those corporate CACs stories were very convincing and made her look like a crazed weirdo.

I personally see her going back mainly just to prove herself wrong and 2ndly if she's right
