Celia Gellert told The Times that Borders’ son, a photographer, podcast host and life coach named Garry “Dijon” Bowden Jr., offered her a “healing session.” She said she was surprised and felt “violated” when, she alleged, he touched her genitalia, kissed her neck and brushed his erect but clothed penis against her body during the session.

She wouldn't have been able to conduct her job if she's juelzing for her son whilst shouting "Belive woman" at every other guy accused

Son gets caught up and/or convicted, jail time. Case closed.

Maybe I'm thinking too shallow with this :hubie:

You'd expect the CEO of Times Up to instill the values she preaches in her children
If you're familiar with pro wrestling or the term "hypernormalisation" you begin to see what's really going on here. There are public figures who have decided to use personas that dont match who they actually are and others have decided to go along with it.

Just like how a pro wrestler is never out of character when he or she is in public the same applies to a ton of politicians, actors, activists etc. We just all go along with it for the most part even though we know it doesnt make sense just like how wrestling fans go along with the storylines and characters even though they know its fictional.

With the metoo and times up movements, there are many incidents that arent cut and dry cases of abuse, many of the times the men arent doing anything illegal. Morally wrong and disgusting? Yes. Illegal? No. However these men are still pursued with the same passion as if they have actually committed a legally defined crime. Even if there is contradictory evidence to the allegations. We all go along with it though why? Because we prefer entertaining and easy to understand stories that can be boiled down to good vs bad rather than the truth which is far more nuanced and difficult to understand.

The difference between sexual misconduct and bold flirting basically just boils down to whether the other person finds you attractive. There is no longer a clear line on what is and what isnt appropriate behavior and there are parties who will capitalize off of this new uncertainty.
