I must admit, in my younger days I would tip extra stingy. I truly didn't understand nor care about the server's struggle (paid sh1tty hour wage) Now that I'm older, wiser, and bring in more income I've become more generous. Sometimes tipping my barber nearly 100 percent if he does a extra good job and makes sure my appointment is done on time (hate it when you make a appointment with a barber and that n1gga is late) Now back to servers. I typically try to tip well ONLY if they do the following, check on me to make sure my food is cool, refill my glass, and have a general cool disposition. If you even get 2 out of 3 with me, you will usually get a decent tip.

However I still have a problem tipping them Asian Buffet hoes. Every few months or so if I hit up Hibachi grill I don't really see why I should tip someone who barely got me a drink and barely will make eye contact with me OR speak up.

Unless she bad...:whew:

I almost always tip for good service at restaurants. I always asks the server/waiter, does this tip go to you directly or do you receive a portion in your personal check. I understand the restaurant only pay them a certain hourly wage and they depend on tips. It also helps the economy. Now some restaurants are including gratuity in the tip. I also always tip my barber if he performs well and on time.

I tip 18% minimum on everything.

I think i do it mostly to defeat the stereotype sometimes. At times i go to places where the service is bad. But i do it because i know in this country your KIND is judged by individual's actions. I know my actions will make very little impact to people that are already prejudice but at least i can say I'm not reinforcing the negative stereotype.

My parents made it in life and they only tip well if the server is a minority.

The fact that people expect a tip is why I sometimes do not tip.

I always tip. If the service is bad I leave a dollar or something. When service is really good I tip 20% other times 18%. In school I started training to be a waitress, I saw how much they made and was shocked had no idea. I tipped before then like 15%-16%.

Have you guys ever read Waiter Rant?

I always tip, 15-18%.

Also if there's one thing that seeing people talk about tipping on the internet has taught me, it's that at some point somebody's gonna post that scene from Reservoir Dogs.

As an individual of african descent i often have to talk to tell the server that i dont want to sit by the toilets or the server station. Ive been this way if im dressed in a suit or if im dressed casually. Its bizarre. In particular it happens in American restaurants. In a restaurant that is filled with people, why would i want to sit by fecal matter? Tip, Reduced.

Its so demonic, friends.
